RESOLUTION NO. R-94- 6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE RISK MANAGER
TO ATTEND THE PUBLIC RISK AND INSURANCE
MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONFERENCE, IN
DENVER, COLORADO ON MAY 15-18, 1994, PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE RATE_
WHEREAS, the Public Risk and Insurance Management
Association is the national organization that provides
continuing education for public sector Risk Managers
through its national annual, conference; and
WHEREAS, the conference this year is in Denver,
Colorado on May 15-18, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Risk Manager Roger C. Anderson has
requested permission to attend at a total cost estimated
to be One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty Five Dollars
($1, 565.00) ; and
WHEREAS, it is important that the city employees in
this risk management function be knowledgeable and
current on techniques, training, etc. in the area of
municipal insurance, safety, and risk management law;
and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City
Manager that Mr. Anderson be permitted to attend.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMA.RAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses
are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and
correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the recommendation of the City
Manager is hereby approved.

SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part
or application of this Resolution is held by any court
of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions or applications of
this Resolution.
This Resolution shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
