CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA PROVIDING AUTHORITY TO THE
CITY MANAGER FOR THE HIRING OF TEMPORARY
PERSONNEL FOR LIMITED TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AS
MAY BE REQUIRED TO MEET SPECIAL OR SEASONAL
NEEDS FOR A PERIOD UP TO SIX (6) MONTHS,
PROVIDING THAT FUNDING AUTHORITY EXISTS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Manager is the Chief Administrator Officer
of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager shall exercise the administrative
powers of the City through administrative departments, divisions
and agencies; and
WHEREAS, on May 2, 1994, the City Council of the City of
Tamarac discussed a specific need for temporary recreation
employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has identified a need to have the
authority by Council resolution to provide for the hiring of
temporary personnel as may be required for special or seasonal
circumstances; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents
of the City of Tamarac to delegate to the City Manager the
authority to hire temporary personnel for limited terms of
employment and as required to meet special or seasonal needs of
the City for a period up to six (6) months, providing that proper
funding authority exists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION„1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are
hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are

hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
hereby delegates to the City Manager the authority to hire
temporary personnel for limited terms of employment as may be
required to meet special or seasonal needs of the City for a
period up to six (6) months, providing that funding authority per
City budgetary policy exists.
,9Z=ON 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4_ If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
S.E'CTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
