RESOLUTION NO. R--94 00
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC ACCEPTING
THE QUOTE OF GLASGOW EQUIPMENT SERVICES, INC.
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE BSO STAGE II VAPOR
RECOVERY SYSTEM; APPROVING THE APPROPRIATE
BUDGET TRANSFERS; AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE
CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, quotes were received for the installation of a Stag
II Vapor Recovery System at the Broward Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, the following are the contractors and their quotes
PIECO, Inc. - $21,750,000; Glasgow Equipment Service, Inc.
$8,929.47; and Lutz Petroleum Equipment Installations, Inc.
$14,350.00; and
WHEREAS, Glasgow Equipment Service, Inc. had the lowest full
responsive and responsible quote; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florid
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and resident
of the City of Tamarac to award this contract pursuant to staff'
recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section_ 1: That the acceptance of the quote of Glasgo
Equipment Service, Inc. in the amount of $8,929.47 for the Browar
Sheriff's Office (BSO) Stage II Vapor Recovery System is HEREB
APPROVED.
Section 2: That the appropriate budget transfers of funds i
the amount of $3,314.71 from Account No. 320-104-001 entitle
"Police Facility Construction Fund" and in the amount of $5,616.0
from Account No. 503-739-588-975 entitled "Fleet Contingency" ar
HEREBY APPROVED in order to fully fund this project.

Section 3: That the appropriate City Officials are hereb
authorized to execute any and all contract documents in connectio
with the awarding of the contract shown as Exhibit A.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions i
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of suc
conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or applicatio
of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdictio
to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, i
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions o
applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediatel
upon adoption.

TRENCHING, EXCAVATION, PIPE & FITTINGS, BACKFILL, COMPACTION AND
BLOCKAGE/LINE TESTING ARE INCLUDED.
