A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA AWARDING A BID FOR PROJECT 93-
04, "LIFT STATIONS 21 AND 22 FORCE
MAIN," BID #94-04; ACCEPTING THE BID OF
MCKAY CONTRACTING, INC.; APPROVING
FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT NO. 425-367-535-6HK
ENTITLED "EXTENSIONS AND MODIFICATIONS";
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE
AWARDING OF THE BID; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND EROVIDING IKE DAM,
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Broward
County, Florida, on Thursday, March 24, 1994, and Thursday, Marc:
31, 1994; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Thursday, April 14, 1994, and
WHEREAS, the following are the bidders and their bids:
McKay Contracting - $382,801.00; Man Con - $393,084.00; Rocket
Industries - $398,781.00; Tel -Con, Inc. - $445,651.00; Giannetti
Contracting Corporation - $560,421.00
WHEREAS, McKay Contracting, Inc. is the lowest fully
responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and
residents of the City of Tamarac to award this bid pursuant to
staff's recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Sectinn I.- That the acceptance of the bid of McKay
Contracting, Inc., in the amount of $382,801.00 for Project No.
93-04, Bid No, 94-04 Lift Stations 21 and 22 Force Main is HEREB
Section „2: That the funding is to come from Account #425-
367-535-6HK entitled Extensions and Modifications is HEREBY
APPROVED.

Section 3.- That the appropriate City Officials are hereby
authorized to execute any and all contract documents in
connection with the awarding of the bid.
affection A. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
S_ation 5: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6:, This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.

Bidder agrees that any unit price listed is to be multiplied by the
approximate quantity requirements in order to arrive at the total.
In the event of a discrepancy between written figures and numbers,
the former shall govern.
In the event of latent multiplication or addition errors, the •
Bidder recognizes that these are clerical errors and may be
corrected by the Owner.
For each payment item, Bidder agrees to furnish all labor,
materials, tools and equipment necessary to properly perform the
work described herein and on the project drawings. A more detailed
