WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Browarc County, Florida, on Tuesday, April 19, 1994, and Tuesday, April 26, 1994; and WHEREAS, bids were opened on Tuesday, May 3, 1994, and WHEREAS, the following are the bidders and their bids: United Underground Contractor Corporation - $186,374.50; Coastal Utilities - $247,999.75; Man -Con, Inc. - $314,695.00 WHEREAS, United Underground Contractor Corporation is the lowest fully responsive and responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award this bid pursuant to staff's recommendations.
