R-94 " 9'Z- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AWARDING A BID FOR PROJECT 93-32 "NW 71ST PLACE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT," BID 94-08; ACCEPTING THE BID OF UNITED UNDERGROUND CONTRACTOR CORPORATION; APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $9,324.00; APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT NO. 410- 411-541-340 "OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES;" AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE AWARDING OF THE BID; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Browarc County, Florida, on Tuesday, April 19, 1994, and Tuesday, April 26, 1994; and WHEREAS, bids were opened on Tuesday, May 3, 1994, and WHEREAS, the following are the bidders and their bids: United Underground Contractor Corporation - $186,374.50; Coastal Utilities - $247,999.75; Man -Con, Inc. - $314,695.00 WHEREAS, United Underground Contractor Corporation is the lowest fully responsive and responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award this bid pursuant to staff's recommendations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY IF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Section _I : That the acceptance of the bid of United Underground Contractor Corporation, in the amount of $186,374.5 for Bid No. 94-08, Project No. 93-32, N.W. 71st Place Drainage Improvements is HEREBY APPROVED. Section 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
