RESOLUTION NO. R-94—

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, CORRECTING A
SCRIVENER'S ERROR IN RESOLUTION R-94-36
WHICH DECLARED THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD AT -
LARGE, DISTRICT 2 AND DISTRICT 4 POSITIONS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 8, 1994,
wherein the positions of the Charter Board for Districts 2, 4 and At -
Large were filled; and
WHEREAS, the positions filled for Districts 2 and 4 were
two (2) year positions; and
WHEREAS, the At -Large position was filled by Morton
Burdman, who ran unopposed, and this position was for one (1) year to
fill the unexpired term of Gabriel Glantz who resigned; and
WHEREAS, Resolution R-94-36 contained a scrivener's
error regarding the length of the term of office for the At -Large
position; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of
the City of Tamarac to correct this scrivener's error.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Resolution R-94-36 is
hereby corrected to read as follows:
"Morton Burdman, having run unopposed for the
office of Representative At -Large, has been
duly elected to that position for a term of
one (1) year."
$E-CTION 2: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 4; This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
