CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92- l
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TAMARAC LIONS
CLUB TO CONDUCT ITS FIFTH ANNUAL WALK-A-THON;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has requested authoriz-
ation to conduct its Fifth Annual Walk--A-Thon on Saturday,
February 20, 1993 at 7:30 A.M. on a portion of the Tamarac
Recreation Facility on University Drive, and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has submitted a Hold
Harmless Agreement to the City for this function.
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has requested waiver of
all City fees in connection with the Fifth Annual Walk-A-
Thon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. : That the City Council hereby grants author-
ization to the Tamarac Lions Club to conduct its Fifth Annual
Walk -A -Than on Saturday, February 20, 1993, at 7:30 A.M. an a
portion of the Tamarac Recreation Facility on University
Drive.
SECTION 2 That the City Council further waives all
City fees in connection with the Fifth Annual Walk-A--Thon,
SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective.

LIONS -WALK
INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
This Agreement entered into on the 5 day of JANUARY
1993, is made by and between the City of Tamarac, a municipal
corporation, (hereinafter "CITY"), and Tamarac Lions Club
40 (hereinafter "TLC") .
W I T N E S S E T H
WHEREAS, TLC and CITY wish to promote a Walk -A -Than at
the Tamarac Recreation Facility to benefit TLC and
other worthy causes; and
WHEREAS, TLC and CITY wish to conduct the Walk -A -Than
on February 2O , 1993, at the Tamarac Recreation Facility ;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
determined that the execution of this Indemnification and
Hold Harmless Agreement is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of ONE
DOLLAR ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration
received from TLC and in consideration of the mutual
convenants contained herein, the parties agree as follows;
Section 1 : That TLC shall indemnify and hold the
CITY, its officers, agents and employees harmless and defend
the CITY, its officers, agents and employees from any and all
claims, causes of action, damages, costs, expenses and
attorney fees which the CITY shall or may suffer by virtue of
the defense of, or response to, any claim being made against
it in connection with the Walk -A -Than to be held on Feb-
ruary 20, 1993. Further, TLC indemnifies and holds the
City, its officers, agents and employees harmless for any act
or omission by TLC , its principles, agents or employees, or
for any act or omission of the general public related to the
Walk-A-Thon to be held on February 20 , 1993.

Section 2 The above provisions shall survive the
termination of this Agreement and shall pertain to any
occurrence during the term of this Agreement, even though the
claim may be made after the termination hereof.
Section 3 : TLC shall provide the City's Risk Manager
all necessary Certificates of Insurance in such form and
amounts as required by the Risk Manager.
Section 4 : TLC shall keep such policies of insurance
in full force and effect during the term of this Agreement
and shall provide to the City's Risk Manager proof of payment
of the required documents.
Section 5 TLC shall provide the CITY with the
required document evidencing that the signatory for TLC has
the authority to enter into this Agreement.
Section 6 : This Agreement shall not be assigned
without receiving City Council approval.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the respective dates under each
signature: CITY OF TAMARAC through its CITY COUNCIL, signing
by and through its Mayor, authorized to execute same by
