CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-93-�11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RECOGNIZING CITY
GOVERNMENT WEEK, OCTOBER 3-9, 1993 AND
ENCOURAGING ALL CITIZENS TO SUPPORT THE
CELEBRATION AND CORRESPONDING ACTIVITIES;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE,
OR
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florid
deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and resident
of the City of Tamarac to recognize City Government Week a
October 3-9, 1993;
WHEREAS, city government is the government closest to mos
citizens, and the one with the most direct daily impact upon its
residents; and
WHEREAS, city government is administered for and by its
citizens, and is dependent upon public commitment to a d
understanding of its many responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, city government officials and employees share t e
responsibility to pass along their understanding of public
services and their benefits; and
WHEREAS, Florida City Government Week is a very importa t
time to recognize the important role played by city government In
our lives; and
WHEREAS, this week offers an important opportunity to spre d
the word to all the citizens of Florida that they can, shape a d
influence this branch of government which is closest to t e
people; and
WHEREAS, the Governor and Cabinet of the State of Flori. a
have set aside this week to recognize the honor the efforts of

city governments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION_1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS clauses are
hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are
hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City of Tamarac does encourage a 1
citizens, city government officials and employees to do everythi g
possible to ensure that this week is recognized and celebrated
accordingly.
SECTION 3: That the City of Tamarac does encoura e
educational partnerships between city government and schools.
SECTION 4: That the City of Tamarac does support aid
encourage all city governments to actively promote and spons r
"Florida City Government Week".
y4ECTION A. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of compet nt
jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remain ng
portions or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
