Reso. # 6610 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION NO. R-93- / f,2„ A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR A GAS CHROMATOGRAPH, BID #93-16; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Broward County, Florida, on Wednesday, November 10, 1993 and Wednesday, November 17, 1993; and WHEREAS, bids were opened on December 1, 1993; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the awarding of a split bid by accepting the Tekmar Company bid for the purge and trap and autosampler, with the Perkin Elmer bid being accepted for the remainder of the Gas Chromatograph System. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the bid of Tekmar Company, in the amount of $24,067.00 for the purge and trap and autosampler portion of the Gas Chromatograph System is HEREBY APPROVED. SECTION 2: That the bid of Perkin Elmer in the amount of $28,829.98 for the remainder of the Gas Chromatograph System is HEREBY APPROVED. SECTION 3: That the appropriate budget transfers are HEREBY APPROVED in order to fully fund this project. SECTION 4: That the funds are to come from Account #425-363-533-648 entitled "Laboratory Equipment". SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
