CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-93-
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER
BOARD AT LARGE POSITION; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 9, 1993,
wherein the positions of the Charter Board Districts 1, 3
and at Large for two-year terms were to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
canvassed the results of the machine voting and absentee
ballots and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the Broward County Canvassing Board and has presented
her findings to the City Council for a formal Certification
and Declaration of the results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Morton Winter, having run unopposed for the
office of Representative from District 1, has been duly
elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: John "Jack" Farley, having run unopposed for
the office of Representative from District 3, has been duly
elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Charter Board Representative At Large at the General Election
held March 9, 1993:
Gabriel "Gabe" Glantz 2,129
Dorothy "Dot" Murphy 1,580
Melanie K. Reynolds 1,445
Gabriel "Gabe" Glantz , having received the highest number of
votes cast for the At Large seat is, therefore, declared to
have been elected to that seat for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 4: That Morton winter, John "Jack" Farley and
Gabriel "Gabe" Glantz shall take office in accordance
with the provisions of Section 2-27 of the City Code.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of March, 1993.
