CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-93- aLo_
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL
DISTRICTS 1 AND 3; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 9, 1993,
wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose
one candidate for the Office of Council
Representative from District 1 and one candidate for the
Office of Council Representative from District 3.
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
canvassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee
ballots, and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board and has presented her
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 1 at the General
Election held March 9, 1993:
Muriel R. Davis 433
Irving Katz 874
Walter S. Rekuc 352
Irving Katz , having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 1 of the City of
Tamarac for a term of three (3) years.

SECTION 2: The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 3 at the General
election held March 9, 1993:
Harriet Cohen 177
Edward Klein 238
Joe Schreiber 1,482
Marc L. Sultanof 918
Joe Schreiber , having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 3 for a term of three
(3) years.
SECTION 3: That Irving Katz and
Joe Schreiber shall take office in accordance with
the provisions of.Section 2-27 of the City Code.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 16th day of March, 1993.
