CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-93-
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WAIVER TO THE
SIGN CODE REQUESTED BY SUNSHINE PLAZA
LOCATED AT 4201 WEST COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Sunshine Plaza has requested a waiver from Code
hapter 18 governing signs; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Building Official reviewed said waiver.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF
TAMARAC,, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18
requested by Sunshine Plaza for a directory sign to replace an
existing 60•--foot high directory sign:
a. 195 square feet, 25--feet high
b. With tenant names exceeding two square feet of sign area
c. With complex name letters exceeding 6-inches and tenant
name letters exceeding 4--inches
d. Directory sign would be closer than 50-feet from the
property line
e. With logo style lettering and multiple colors for the
complex and tenant names which includes "Sunshine" in
Script letters and Helvetica Bold letters for the tenant
names
located at 4201 West Commercial Boulevard is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
