CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-93- gj 3
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WAIVER TO THE SIGN
CODE REQUESTED BY GASLIGHT RESTAURANT
• (FORMERLY CHRISTINE LEE'S), FOR A PREVIOUSLY
PERMITTED BROWARD COUNTY SIGN LOCATED AT
6191 ROCK ISLAND ROAD; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Gaslight Restaurant (formerly Christine Lee's),
has requested a waiver from Code Chapter 18 governing signs; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Building Official reviewed said waiver.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18
requested by Gaslight Restaurant (formerly Christine Lee's), for a
previously permitted Broward County sign located at 6191 Rock
Island Road, to allow:
a. Change of copy on the top forty.(40) square foot portion of
the existing sign
b. Continued use of the lower additional 32 square feet of
changeable copy area
C. The existing height of twenty-three (23) feet
d. Four different colors
e. Eighteen (18) inch letters
f. Two different letter styles
g. A total sign area of seventy two (72) square feet
h. The existing sign to remain on the property line
is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
