CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92-- I (,Qt p
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
EXCEPTION TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF A
HALL FOR HIRE REQUESTED BY THE ITALIAN
AMERICAN CLUB IN WOODMONT SQUARE, LOCATED
AT 7166 UNIVERSITY DRIVE; PETITION NO.
34-Z 92; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the
9 granting of special exception to permit the operation of a hall for
p hire requested by the Italian American Club in Woodmont Square,
located at 7166 University Drive; and
2 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
3 thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and the public has
5 been given an opportunity to express their views concerning the
application for'special exception; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the
g Petition for special exception would be in keeping with the public
7 health, safety and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
p NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
2 TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
2 SECTION 1: That the Petition for special exception to permit
3 the operation of a hall for hire requested by the Italian American
q Club in Woodmont Square located at 7166 University Drive, Petition
No. 34-Z 92, is HEREBY APPROVED.
6 SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:
7 a. On -the -premises preparation of food is allowed.
g b. The facility can be used for social functions, political
g functions, educational functions, and charitable functions.
p C. Commercial enterprises, i.e., Flea Markets are prohibited.
1 d. Rock and Roll concerts are prohibited.
1 e. Hours of operation cannot exceed 12:00 midnight except for New
3 Year's Eve, until 2:00 A.M.
f. This approval is limited to the current lessee and the existing
5 dance club.

S SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
6 upon adoption.
