CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92- 37
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD
POSITIONS FOR DISTRICTS 2 AND 4; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 10, 1992,
wherein the positions of Charter Board Districts 2 and 4, for
two-year terms, were to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
canvassed the results of the machine voting and absentee
ballots and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the Broward County Canvassing Board and has presented
their findings to the City Council for a formal Certification
and Declaration of the results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : Oscar I. Brawer, having run unopposed for
the office of Representative from District 2, has been duly
elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2 : The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of
Charter Board Representative from District 4 at the General
Election held March 10, 1992:
Sam Garber 5,605
Anthony "Tony" J. Grimaldi 2,555
Melanie K. Reynolds 3,553
Sam Garber, having received the highest number of votes cast
for the District 4 seat, is, therefore, declared to have been
elected to that seat for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 3 That Oscar 1. Srawer and Sam Garber shall
take office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-27
of the City Code.
SECTION 4 This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
