CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92- 3 8
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
DISTRICTS 2, 3 AND 4; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 10,
1992, wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to
choose one (1) candidate for the Office of Mayor, one (1)
candidate for the Office of Council Representative from
District 2, one (1) candidate for the Office of Council
Representative from District 3 and one (1) candidate for the
Office of Council Representative from District 4.
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
canvassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee
ballots, and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her
findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Mayor
at the General Election held March 10, 1992:
Herman "Larry" Bender 8,368
Diane Glasser 5,682
Herman "Larry" Bender, having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Mayor for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2 Henry C. "Hank" Schumann, having run
unopposed for the office of Council Representative from
District 2, has been duly elected to that position for a term
of two (2) years.

SECTION 3 The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 3, at the General
Election held March 10, 1992:
Edward Klein 5,992
Joe Schreiber 6,482
Joe Schreiber, having received the highest number of votes
cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as Council
Representative for District 3 of the City of Tamarac for a
term of one (1) year.
SECTION 4 The following are the Certified Results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 4, at the General
Election held March 10, 1992:
Norman Abramowitz 9,431
Judith R. Kitograd 4,149
Norman Abramowitz, having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 4 for a term of two (2)
years.
SECTION 5 : That Herman "Larry" Bender, Henry C. "Hank"
Schumann, Joe Schreiber and Norman Abramowitz shall take
office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-27 of
the City Code.
SECTION 6 This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 17 dy��ay of ! xhck, 1992.
