RESOLUTION NO. R--92-�
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE EXCEPTION
TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF A DAY CARE CENTER
BUSINESS AT TAMARAC TOWN SQUARE SHOPPING
CENTER, BAYS 36 THROUGH 40, ON THE SOUTHWEST
CORNER OF PINE ISLAND ROAD (NORTHWEST 88
AVENUE) AND SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD, TAMARAC;
REQUESTED BY YOUTHLAND ACADEMY, INCORPORATED,
PETITION #7-Z-92; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the
granting of special exception to permit the operation of a day
care center at Tamarac Town Square Shopping Center in Bays 36
through 40 on the southwest corner of Pine Island Road (Northwest
88 Avenue) and Southgate Boulevard, Tamarac, as requested by
Youthland Academy, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public meeting
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public has
been given an opportunity to express their views concerning the
application for special exception; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the
petition for special exception would be in keeping with the public
health, safety and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA;
That the petition for special exception to permit
the operation of a day care center requested by Youthland Academy,
Incorporated, at Tamarac Town Square Shopping Center, Bays 36
through 40, on the southwest corner of Pine Island Road (Northwest
88 Avenue) and Southgate Boulevard, Tamarac, is HEREBY APPROVED.
