CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92---75
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF
PARKING REQUESTED BY YOUTHLAND ACADEMY,
INCORPORATED, BAYS 36 THROUGH 40, AT TAMARAC
TOWN SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER, LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF PINE ISLAND ROAD (NORTHWEST
88 AVENUE) AND SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD, TAMARAC;
PETITION #10-Z-92; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, Section 24 of the Tamarac City Code provides that
the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off --street
parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship would exist
by adhering to strict application thereof, and further provides
that the waiver would not be detrimental to public safety, health
and welfare of -the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the Tamarac Town Square
Shopping Center, Bays 36 through 40, located at the southwest
corner of Pine Island Road (Northwest 88 Avenue) and Southgate
Boulevard, Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the
limited waiver requested in the application of Youthland Academy,
Incorporated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTIO,Nj_ That the application by Youthland Academy,
Incorporated to permit the reduction in the number of required
loading zones from eight (8) to six (6) to replace the two (2)
loading zones with a day care outside playing area, is HEREBY
APPROVED, and such limited waiver would not be detrimental to the
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City.
