CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-92-9
A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO DISPOSITION
OF A PERFORMANCE BOND POSTED BY
ROCKWOOD AND COMPANY, FOR THE WEST
POINT WATER MAIN EXTENSION PROJECT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Rockwood and Company, as Principal, and The First
National Bank of Chicago, as Surety, has filed with the City Letter
of Credit No.00317402 in the amount of $76,765.00 to guarantee
public improvements associated with the West Point Water Main
extension project; and
WHEREAS, the bond is due to expire and there is not
properly completed work; and
WHEREAS, the Principal has been notified that thework is
not properly completed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the recitations as set forth above are true
and correct.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City officials are hereby
authorized to call Letter of Credit No.00317402 in the amount of
$76,765.00 posted to guarantee installation of a water main
extension associated with the West Point project if the bond has
not been extended by January 24, 1992.
SECTION 3: That said Bond be released if the remedial
repairs are accomplished on or before January 24, 1992 and if a
one-year warranty bond in the amount of $27,1.99.88 has been
received.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective.
