RESOLUTION NO. R--90- 412-5
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF
PARKING REQUESTED BY BUILD -TO -SUIT, AGENTS,AT
THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF N.W. 82 STREET AND
UNIVERSITY DRIVE (PLATTED AS PORTOBELLO) FOR
THE PROPOSED WALGREENS WOODMONT SHOPPES;
PETITION NO. 5-Z-90; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 24 of the Tamarac City Code provides that the
City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-street parking and
loading requirements whenever a hardship would exist by adhering to
strict application thereof, and further provides that the waiver
would not be detrimental to public safety, health and welfare of the
citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the proposed Walgreens Woodmont
Shoppes, located at the southwest corner of North West 82 Street and
University Drive (platted as Portobello); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the limited
waiver requested in the application of Build -To -Suit, Agents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by Build -to -Suit, Agents, to
permit twenty-one (21) zero degree parking spaces for a proposed
development to be located at the southwest corner of North West 82
Street and University Drive (platted as Portobello) for the proposed
Walgreens Woodmont Shoppes, Petition #5-Z--90 is HEREBY APPROVED, and
such limited waiver would not be detrimental to the public safety,
health and welfare of the citizens of the City.
