CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-90- 157
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF PARKING
REQUESTED BY CHEVRON USA, INC.; LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF PINE ISLAND ROAD (88 AVENUE)
AND COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD; PETITION #12-Z-90; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE: -
WHEREAS, Section 24 of the Tamarac City Code provides
that the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off --street
'par'king and inadi,ng requirements whenever a hardship would exist by
adhering to strict application thereof, and further provides that
the waiver would not be detrimental to public safety, health and
welfare of the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the proposed location for
a service station and car wash at the northeast corner of Pine
Island Road (88 Avenue) and Commercial Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hear-
ing thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the
limited waiver requested in the application of Chevron USA, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by Chevron USA, Inc., to
permit seven (7) zero degree parking spaces for a proposed service
station and car wash planned at the northeast corner of Pine Island
Road (88 Avenue) and Commercial Boulevard, Petition #12-Z-90, is
HEREBY APPROVED, and such limited waiver would not be detrimental
to the public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this /_3 day of 1990.
