CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-90-
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR EXTENSION
OF EXISTING CANAL CULVERT AND STORMWATER
DRAINAGE PIPE AND FILLING, EXTENDING AND
RESHAPING THE CANAL BANKS AND MODIFICATIONS
TO EXISTING GUARDRAILS; BID NO. 90-15;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Broward
County, Florida, on Saturday, June 2, 1990 and Saturday, June 9,
1990; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Monday, June 18, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Man Con, Inc., is the lowest fully responsive
and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bid of Man Con, Inc., in the
amount $132,620.00 for extension of existing canal culvert and
stormwater drainage pipe and filling, extending and reshaping the
canal banks and modifications to existing guardrails is HEREBY
APPROVED, which specifically omits Bid Proposal Item No. 8, "Side-
walks", by Change Order #1 in the amount of $2,400.00 .
SECTION 2: That the budget transfer is HEREBY
APPROVED in the amount of $1,050.00 from TUW Nab Hill Road Turn
Lane Account #360-411-541-6DF to TUW Nab Hill Road Canal Improve-
ment Account #360-411-541-6DK to fully fund this project.
SECTION 3: That the appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized to execute any and'all documents necessary in the
awarding of this bid.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
