CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE TAMARAC VETERANS
PARK RESTROOM, PROJECT B88016, DEPARTMENT OF
NATURAL RESOURCES CONTRACT #C-5462; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE__
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby
authorized to execute an Amendment to the Agreement with the State
of Florida Department of Natural Resources for the Tamarac
Veterans Park Restroom, project B88016, Department of Natural
Resources Contract #C-5462, relating to the extension of the
project completion date to October 1, 1990, and to the acceptance
by the City of additional grant funds in an amount up to
$20,000.00, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto as
"Exhibit 1".
,ARnTION 2! This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.

Project Agreement - Development

This Agreement made and entered into this day of
, 1990, by and between the Florida, Department
of Natural Resources, hereinafter called the "DEPARTMENT",
Broward County, hereinafter called the "COUNTY", and the City of
Tamarac, hereinafter called the "CITY", in furtherance of the
approved recreation boating project known as Veteran's Park
Restroom, (FBIP Project No. B88016)0 hereinafter referred to as
the "PROJECT".
WHEREAS, DEPARTMENT, COUNTY and CITY entered into an
agreement dated December 16, 1988, hereinafter referred to as the
"Project Agreement", and the Project Agreement expired prior to
completion of the PROJECT, and
WHEREAS,.cost of the project will exceed the amount provided
in the Project Agreement by some $20,000, and
WHEREAS, the DEPARTMENT is in agreement to fund the
additional cost of the project, and

WHEREAS, CITY acting as agent for the COUNTY, is performing
the work specified in the Project Agreement to the satisfaction
of the DEPARTMENT, and
WHEREAS, completion of the PROJECT is desired by all of the
parties.
NOW THEREFORE, DEPARTMENT, COUNTY and CITY hereby agree that
the terms and conditions of the Project Agreement are made a part
of this Agreement by reference as though stated in their entirety
herein, except that Paragraph(s) 4 and 6 shall read as follows:
Paragraph #4
The City agrees to complete the project on or before
October 1, 1990. If the project is not completed within this
time, the DEPARTMENT shall withhold further payment and deny any
further request for project approvals until the project has been
completed.
Paragraph #6
The Department agrees to obligate and make available to the
County the approved project amount of $50,000.00 to be used for
the project authorized by this agreement. The funds will be
released on a reimbursement basis. The Department. County and
City understand and agree that there shall be no reimbursement of
funds by the Department for any expenditure made prior to the
execution of the Agreement with the execution of $0 for the
following specific expenditures: N/A

written.
