R--90- A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO BROWARD COUNTY GRANTING ADDITIONAL RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR A PROPOSED TURN LANE ON THE NOS HILL ROAD EXTENSION ACROSS THE C--14 CANAL; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Broward County intends to improve Nob Hill Road from Commercial Boulevard to the C--14 Canal; and WHEREAS, the intended improvement will provide for safe and efficient vehicular travel; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 125.38 F.S., Broward County has requested the City to convey a parcel of land generally located northerly of Southgate Boulevard at Nob Hill Road, being more particularly described in the attached "Exhibit A"; and WHEREAS, the City has determined this request to be in the best interest and welfare of the general public; and WHEREAS, Broward County has agreed to pay the nominal con- sideration set forth in the Quit Claim Deed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed from the City of Tamarac granting additional right-of-way to Broward County for a proposed turn lane on the Nab Hill Road Extension across the C-14 canal, a copy of said document being attached hereto as "Exhibit 1". SECTION 2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to record said document in the public records of Broward County, Florida.
