CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-90- o,�
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 AND 4;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 13, 1990,
wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one (1)
candidate for the Office of Mayor, one (1) candidate for Council
Representative from District 2, and one (1) candidate for Council
Representative from Distract 4; and
WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and absentee ballots and has
certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac;
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
the Broward County Canvassing Board and has presented her findings
to the City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of
the results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the
votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Mayor at the
General Election held March 13, 1990.
NORMAN ABRAMOWITZ 10,337
PHILIP B. KRAVITZ 2,034
NORMAN ABRAMOWITZ, having received the highest number of votes cast
is, therefore, declared to have been elected as Mayor of the City
of Tamarac for a term of two (2) yeais.

SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of the
votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Council
Representative from District 2 at the General Election held March
13, 1990.
OSCAR I. BRAWER 2,865
HENRY C. "HANK" SCHUMANN 8,925
HENRY C. "HANK" SCHUMANN, having received the highest number of
votes cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as Council
Representative from District 2 for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: The following are the Certified Results of the
votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council
Representative from District 4, at the General Election held March
13, 1990:
HERMAN "LARRY" BENDER 7,700
BERNARD "BERNIE" HART 3,126
SAMUEL B. NADAN 1,144
HERMAN "LARRY" BENDER, having received the highest number of votes
cast, is, therefore, declared to have been elected as Council
Representative from District 4 for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 4: That NORMAN ABRAMOWITZ, HENRY C. "HANK" SCHUMANN,
and HERMAN "LARRY" BENDER shall take office in accordance with the
provisions of Section 2--27 of the City Code.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
