RESOLUTION NO. R-90- 7
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH NAGLE PUMPS, INCORPORATED
PERTAINING TO THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF
ONE (1) NAGLE SLURRY PUMP FOR THE
WATER TREATMENT PLANT PURSUANT TO
SECTIONS 6-150 AND 6-151 (3) OF THE
CITY CODE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
That the appropriate City officials are hereby
authorized to execute an Agreement with Nagle Pumps, Incorporated,
pertaining to the sole source purchase of one (1) Nagle slurry pump
for the water treatment plant in the amount of $4,990.00 pursuant
to Sections 6-150 and 6-151 (3) of the City Code; a copy of said
agreement being attached hereto as "Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2:
This Resolution shall become effective upon its
adoption.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE
CITY OF TAMARAC
t- AND
NAGLE PUMPS INCORPORATED
RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF A
LIME SLURRY FEED PUMP
This is an Agreement between the City of Tamarac, a
Florida Municipal Corporation ("City"), and Nagle Pumps,
Incorporated, an Illinois Corporation, its successors and
assigns ("Nagle").
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has determined that it must
purchase a new Lime Slurry Pump to replace a worn out and
attrited item on the main water treatment unit; and
WHEREAS, the required Lime Slurry Pump must be a direct
replacement of the existing installed unit, used by the main
treatment device, to insure absolute compatibility; and
WHEREAS, Section 6-151(3) of the City of Tamarac Code of
Ordinances requires that sole source purchases in an amount
• over two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) be the subject of a
formal written contract approved by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual terms and
conditions, promises, covenants and payment hereinafter set
forth, "City" and "Nagle, Incorporated", agree as follows:
1. The above recitals are incorporated herein and are
made a part of this Agreement.
2. "Nagle, Incorporated" agrees to provide and the
"City" agrees to purchase: one (1) Nagle Pump direct
replacement for NP74-1322 with constituents and
appurtenances as described in the attached Quotation
Page in the amount of four thousand nine hundred
and ninety dollars ($4,990.00).
3. The "City" and "Nagle, Incorporated" agree that the
above quoted price shall not include delivery of the
aforementioned pump.
4. The "City" and "Nagle, Incorporated" agree that
prompt delivery of this Nagle Pump will be attempted
in every possible manner so as to hasten receipt of
this pump by the Utility Department.
IN WITNESS whereof, the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the respective dates under each
signature. The City of Tamarac signing by and through its
Mayor, authorized to execute same by City Council action on
the day of 19 L , and
Nagle Pumps, Incorporated, si ing by and through its
Representative duly authorized to execute same.
