RESOLUTION NO. R-90- ?,S
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER
OF PARKING REQUESTED BY JEFFREY M.
ROSENBERG FOR A PROPOSED SHOPPING PLAZA
(POINT PLAZA) PLANNED AT THE NORTHEAST
CORNER OF NOB HILL ROAD AND WESTWOOD
DRIVE; PETITION NO. 2-Z--90; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 24-584 of the Tamarac City Code provides that
the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-street
parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship would exist by
adhering to strict application thereof, and further provides that
the waiver would not be detrimental to public safety, health and
welfare of the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at a proposed shopping plaza (Point
Plaza), to be located at the Northeast corner of Nob Bill Road and
Westwood Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the limited
waiver requested in the application of Jeffrey M. Rosenberg.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by Jeffrey M. Rosenberg to
permit five (5) zero degree parking spaces for a proposed shopping
plaza (Point Plaza) planned at the Northeast corner of Nab Hill Road
and Westwood Drive is HEREBY APPROVED, and such limited waiver would
not be detrimental to the public safety, health and welfare of the
citizens of the City.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.
