CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-85-2-/3
A RESOLUTION ABOLISHING REIMBURSEMENT TO CITY
COUNCIL MEMBERS FOR MEAL EXPENSES FOR LENGTHY
COUNCIL MEETINGS BY AMENDING R-84-385; AND
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal the provi-
sion that council members may be reimbursed for meals when
City Council meetings last a prescribed length of time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Ski: That R-84--385 is hereby amended to provide
as follows:
"5e!r3 _QD_1: That the following procedures regarding
reimbursement of expenses for elected and appointed city
officials are hereby adopted:
1) (Same.)
2) (Same.)
3) Meal expenses will be reimbursed at the rate
established in Section 2-9.2 of the City Code
when the following conditions are present:
a. For meetings which last for a total of 5
hours or more, and of the 5 or more hours
at least 2 hours are before lunch and at
least 2 hours are after lunch, reimburse-
ment for lunch will be allowed. (Lunch is
the midday meal.)
b. Only if there is a statutory or ordinance
requirement for an evening hearing or
meeting after 5 F.M. and if the 44Ce+iae447->
Board or Committee meets for at least 7
hours on the day of the hearing, reimburse-
ment for dinner will be allowed. (Dinner
is the evening meal.)
