CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-85- IoZlo
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DEPART-
MENT TO DISCONTINUE QUARTERLY REIMBURSEMENTS
BY THE CITY TO EMPLOYEES ELIGIBLE FOR SECOND-
ARY MEDICARE COVERAGE; AND PROVIDING AN
WHEREAS, City employees who are not eligible for Medi-
care coverage receive no reimbursement for the cost of sec-
ondary health insurance; and
WHEREAS, City employees who are eligible for Medicare
coverage are presently reimbursed by the City for secondary
Medicare premiums; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that all
employees, regardless of age, be treated equally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
5B_CTjDN 11: That the City Council authorizes the Finance
Department to discontinue quarterly reimbursements by the
City to employees eligible for secondary Medicare coverage.
5Z_C_T,ON 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
