CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-85-/ 54 Z
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING GRATITUDE TO THE
BROWARD COUNTY COMMISSION AND THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THEIR APPRO-
VAL OF FUNDING FOR THE DESIGN PHASE OF THE
UNIVERSITY DRIVE WIDENING PROJECT; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND
WHEREAS, the construction of the 5th and 6th lane widen-
ing of University Drive through the City of Tamarac is one of
the top traffic concerns of the Tamarac City officials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SmrQ: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
hereby expresses its gratitude to the Broward County
Commission and the State Department of Transportation for
their approval, of funding for the design phase of the Uni-
versity Drive widening project between Southgate Boulevard
and Commercial Boulevard.
SECTIQN_2_: That the City Council of the City of Tamarac
hereby pledges all possible cooperation with the Broward
County Commission and State Department of Transportation to
expedite the final approvals necessary to complete the
University Drive widening project between Southgate Boulevard
and Commercial Boulevard.
_sZ_QTML__1: That the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to send copies of this Resolution to the members of
the Broward County Board of County Commissioners and the
Director of the Florida Department of Transportation.
This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
