RESOLUTION NO. R-85-L7�
A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION R-84--180
AND RESOLUTION R-84-393 ESTABLISHING AND
EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE GOLF FEASIBILITY
COMMITTEE AND ITS MEMBERS; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFE_CTIVDATE,___._�--
WHEREAS, the Golf Feasibility Committee was estab-
lished by Resolution R-84-180 as a temporary committee;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution R-84-393 extended the term of
the Committee to December 31, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Committee
has completed its functions and should be discontinued.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
_&Q.TjQ L__j: That Resolution R--84-180 (Exhibit A) ,
establishing a golf feasibility committee as a temporary
committee, and Resolution R-84-393 (Exhibit B), extending the
term of the golf feasibility committee and its members, are
hereby repealed.
.SB_C_T_jON 2: That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.

SAS, the City Council is interested in deteam�imming the
-feasibility of acquiring a golf course to be awtl'ed by the City of Tamarac and
be operated for the public; and
wHEMAS, the City Council desires to establish a temporary
committee for fact-finding purposes.
Now, TEMWcu, BE IT FMMVED BY IM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORMA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby creates a Golf
Feasibility Camzdttee made up of five (5) regular members. Each Council
Mamber (including the Mayor) shall appoint one (1) regular member from his
district to the cannittee. The appointment shall be made in writing and
submitted to the City Clerk. Each regular member shall be a registered voter
of the City of Tamarac. The regular members shall elect a chairman iron
amongst themselves.
SECTICN 2: In addition to regular members, the Mayor may
appoint a City Council Mwber as a Liaison to the committee.
S CTION 3: The purpose of this committee is to determine the
feasibility of the acquisition of a golf course by the City of Tamarac. It
shall meet with public officials, developers, private landcaners, Tamarac
residents or other parties it deems appropriate. As appointees of the City
Council, it shall emply with the provisions of the Florida Sunshine Lain. The
committee may apply to the City Council for necessary expenses. The members
shall serve without ompensation.

SECTIC8d 4: Umbers shall serve at the pleasure of Council
for a term which shall expire December 31, 1984. This oarrmittee is authorized
only until Decsnber 31, 1984 unless authorization is extended by Resolution
of the City Council.
SWrICN 5: This Resolution shall became effective immediately
upon adoption.
