CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA

A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF A "ONE -
STOP PERMIT" FOR NOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION
PRODUCTION WITHIN THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO BE
ISSUED BY THE MOTION PICTURE AND TELEVISION
OFFICE OF THE BROWARD ECONOMIC DEVELOP11ENT
BOARD: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Broward County wishes to facilitate the growth of motion
picture and television production in the County; and
WHEREAS, the Motion Picture and Television Office of the Broward
Economic Development Board is best equipped to provide centralized permitting
for production companies wanting to film in Tamarac and protect the City's
interests as well.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The Mayor of the City of Tamarac is designated as Liaison
to the Motion Picture and Television Office of the Broward Economic Development
Board.
SECTION 2: The City Council endorses the concept of a "One -Stop
Permit" for motion picture and television production within the City of Tamarac.
Said permit is to be issued by the Motion Picture and Television Office of the
Broward Economic Development Board to a production company wanting to film
within the City. As soon as possible after the issuance of a permit, the Office
shall inform the Mayor or his representative by telephone, followed by a copy
of the permit and all associated documents. The Mayor shall inform the City
Manager and all affected department heads of the production schedule and any
municipal facilities which may be made available.
SECTION 3: No City funds may be expended in connection with the
motion picture or television production without the approval of the City Council.

SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective irawdiately upon
adoption.
