CITY OF•TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-85-aLZI
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REJECTION OF
BIDS FOR ONE (1) MOTOR FUEL CONTROL SYSTEM;
BID #85-31; AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY
OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH
APPROPRIATE VENDORS FOR PROCUREMENT OF THIS
ITEM,--AND-PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News, a
newspaper of general circulation in Broward County on August 14,
and August 21, 1985; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on September 3, 1985; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended the City Council reject all
bids received as all were appreciably higher than original projec-
tions had indicated; and
WHEREAS, staff has requested authorization to enter into
negotiations with appropriate vendors for the procurement of this
item.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That all bids received in connection with
Bid #85-31 are HEREBY REJECTED.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City officials are hereby
authorized to enter into negotiations with the appropriate vendors
for procurement of one (1) motor fuel control system.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
