CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R--85---Z9�
A RESOLUTION ENCOURAGING THE BOARD OF BROWARD
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO ADOPT A COUNTY --WIDE
ANNEXATION PROPOSAL AND TO INCLUDE PARCELS
B.8-a AND B.8-b INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Broward County Commissioners has
initiated the preparation of a Comprehensive Annexation Plan;
and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Board of Broward County
Commissioners to submit the Plan to the Broward County
Legislative Delegation in the form of a local bill for action
during the next legislative session; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has been requested to
submit a proposal of annexation addressing all unincorporated
areas adjacent to its boundaries.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council of Tamarac hereby affirms
its intent to comply with the Board of Broward County
Commissioners request to participate in the Broward County
Comprehensive Annexation Plan.
SECTION 2: The City of Tamarac hereby confirms its
proposal for annexation of the parcels known as B.8--a and
B.8-b on the Comprehensive Annexation Plan Map.
SECTION 3: The City Council of Tamarac hereby agrees to
annex said parcels in accordance with the dates specified in
the local bill to be submitted to the Florida Legislature
with the understanding that no annexation shall take effect
Prior to October 1, 1987, nor later than October 1, 1990.
SECTION 4: The City Council of Tamarac further agrees
to serve newly annexed lands with municipal services on the
date of annexation on substantially the same basis and in the
same manner as such services are provided within the rest of
the municipality prior to annexation.

5 SECTION 5: The City Council. of Tamarac further agrees
to commit resources for the purpose of preparing legal
descriptions and certified maps for each parcel identified in
8 Section 2 of this Resolution, in accordance with the require--
9 ments set forth by the Broward County Legislative Delegation
10 and to submit said legal descriptions to the Board of Broward
11 County Commissioners by October 1, 1985, or as soon thereafter as possib1
�. SECTION 6: The City Council of Tamarac further agrees
13 to participate in the preparation of the Economic Impact
14 Statement which shall be placed immediately behind the local
15 bill in accordance with the rules of the Broward County
16 Legislative Delegation.
17 SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective
18 immediately upon its adoption.
