CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-85-2,9
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE FOR
NOTIFICATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANY
INTRA-DEPARTMENTAL TRANSFER OF FUNDS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFF�1F_DATE -
WHEREAS, Section 7.10(d) of the Tamarac City Charter
provides that the City Manager may transfer funds within a
department, and with the approval of the council, may trans-
fer funds.between departments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to be notified of
intra-departmental fund transfers prior to such transfers in
order to be better informed of the City's financial con-
dition.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
5ECTIQN1: That the City Manager is hereby directed to
supply the following information in writing to the Mayor and
City Council members at least ten (10) working days prior to
the transfer of funds within a department:
(a) The line item(s) being debited
(b) The line item(s) being credited
(c) The amount of the transfer(s)
(d) The balance of the affected line items before and
after the transfer.
(e) The reason for the transfer.
(f) The adequacy of the line item(s) being credited for
the remainder of the fiscal year.
SECTIQN 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
