3 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE EXCEPTION
TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF AN ATHLETIC CLUB
4 (EXERCISE CENTERS OF SOUTHEAST FLORIDA D/B/A
RICHARD SIMMONS ANATOMY ASYLUM) PETITION
34-Z-84; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the granting
of special exception to permit the operation of an Athletic Club at
8 7738 University Drive, Sheppard Plaza; and
9 WHEREAS, a Public Hearing has been held and the public has been
given an opportunity to express their views concerning the application
for special exception; and
22 WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the petitior
13 for special exception would be in keeping with the public health,
14 safety, and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the petition for special exception to permit the

operation of an athletic club is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:
1. The drawing indicates a door at the eastern end of the room marked "Nursery".
The word "Nursery" is to be eliminated.
2. The emergency exit on the east wall be properly indicated on the drawing.
3. Sufficient signs are to be placed within the building indicating the desired
use of the rear parking lot.
A. Any State Statute requirements for bonding must be satisfied before this
business goes into operation.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 13 day of February, 1985.
