CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-80-116
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING COMMITTEE BILL
"PCB"-20 WHICH PERTAINS TO ANNEXATION
OF ENCLAVES.
WHEREAS, enclaves surrounded by a municipality can in-
ordinately drain County Government's ability to provide municipal
services; and
WHEREAS, municipal services such as police and fire protection
can best be provided by the local government surrounding the enclave;
and
WHEREAS, Committee Bill "PCB"- 20 provides that all enclaves
surrounding a municipality shall be deemed annexed into that
municipality effective October 1, 1980; and
WHEREAS, the Bill is a common sense approach to the furnishing
of municipal services to enclaves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1.: That the recitatiorsset forth above are hereby
adopted, and the City of Tamarac implores the Florida Legislature
to enact Committee Bill "PCB"- 20.
SECTION 2: A.copy of the Resolution shall be furnished to all
municipalities in Broward County, all members of the Broward County
Legislative Delegation, the. Broward County League of Cities and the
Florida League of Cities.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
