CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER
BOARD POSITIONS FOR GROUP 1 AND GROUP 2.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 11, 1980,
wherein the positions of Charter Board Group 1, for a 2-year term,
and Charter Board Group 2, for a 2-year term were to be filled; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results)
of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified such!
results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the
City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the
Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Irving Epstein being the only candidate who
filed for Charter Board, Group 1, is declared to have been elected
as Charter Board Representative, Group 1, for a Term of Two (2) years.
SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of the
votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board,
Group 2, at the General Election, March 11, 1980,
STEPHEN MONAHAN 4,325
MELANIE K. REYNOLDS 3,947
and STEPHEN MNAHAN having received the highest number
of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Charter
Board Representative, Group 2, for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: That Irving Epstein and STEPS NONAHAN
shall take office in accordance with the provisions of the applicable
law.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 13th day of March ,1980.
