R- g0 -9�,Z 3 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION VOTING ON AMEND- 4 MENTS TO THE CITY CHARTER. 5 WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 11, 1980, 6 wherein the electorate was asked to vote on amendments to.the Charter 7 of the City of Tamarac; and 8 WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results 9 of the machine voting and absentee ballots and has certified such 10 results to the Election Board of the City of Tamarac; and 11 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from 12 the County Canvassing Board and has presented their findings to the 13 City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the results, 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, 15 FLORIDA: 16 SECTION 1: That the following is hereby certified and de- 17 clared as the official results of the public vote at the General 8 Election of March 11, 1980, for the proposed Charter Amendments: 9 QUESTION 1: Amendment to Section 4.04 of the City Charter. 20 FOR 6,124 21 AGAINST 2,622 22 QUESTION 2: Amendment to Section 6.03 of the City Charter. 23 FOR 1,440 24 AGAINST 2,606 25 QUESTION 3: Amendment to Section 7.03 of the City Charter. 26 FOR 6,488 27 AGAINST 1,910 28 SECTION 2: That having received approval of a majority of 29 the voters voting on these amendments, the amendments labeled 30 Q-1, Q-2, and Q-3 now become a part of the existing City Ill Charter of the City of Tamarac, which was adopted at the General 32 Election held on March 9, 1976, and subsequently amended. 33 PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 13 day of March ,1980. 34 35 -1- 36 TEMP.
