CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R- S1'0 -g3
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND
CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 AND 4.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 11, 1980,
wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one candi-
date for the Office of Mayor; one (1) candidate for the Office of
Council Representative from District 2 and one (1) candidate for the
Office of Council Representative from District 4; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results
of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified such
results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the
City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the Results.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Walter W. Falck being the only candidate who
filed for the Office of Mayor is declared to have been elected as
Mayor of the City of Tamarac for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: That Helen Massaro being the only candidate who
filed for the Office of City Council - District 2 is declared to have
been elected as Council Representative from District 2 for a term of
two ( 2 ) years.
SECTION 3: The following are the Certified Results of the
votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Council Representa-
tive from District 4, at the General Election held March 11, 1980.
BOB STILLERMAN 2,320
IRVING M. ZEMEL 6,570
and IRVING M. ZEMEL having received the highest number
of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council
Representative from District 4, for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 4: That Walter W. Falck, Helen Massaro and
IRVING M. LEM , shall take office in accordance with the
provisions of Section 1, of Ordinance #76-8.
