A RESOLUTION INCORPORATING CERTAIN LANDS INTO THE
CITY OF TAMARAC; AND REDEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF
SAID CITY ACCORDINGLY
WHEREAS, the owners of the following described tracts of
land, to -wit:
A tract of land in the N 1/2 of Section 17, Town-
ship 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County,
Florida, being more particularly described as
follows:
All of the N 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4
of said Section 17; and the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4
of the NE 1/4 of said Section 17; and the N 1/2
of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
said Section 17; and the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of
the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 17,
together with the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SE
1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 17, less all
easements and rights -of -way of record.
have petitioned the City of Tamarac to integrate said lands into
the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, said petition has been.filed with the Clerk of
the said City; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City of Tamarac has certified
that the signatures on said Petition. are genuine and that said
petitioners are qualified under the provisions of Chapter 63-1970,
Special Acts of Florida, 1963, the same being the charter of the
City of Tamarac, to sign said petition; and
WHEREAS, the lands described in. said petition are located
within the area designated in said charter as "Greater City of
Tamarac Area"; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to integrate said lands into
the City of Tamarac;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands be and the same are
hereby integrated and annexed into the City of Tamarac, Florida,
to -wit:
A tract of land in the N 1/2 of Section 17, Township
49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida,
being more particularly described as follows:
• All of the N 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of said
Section 17; and the N 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4
of said Section. 17; and the N 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the
SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 17; and the S 1/2
of the NW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said
Section. 17, together with the N 1/2 of the S'6'tT 1/4 of
the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 17, less all
easements and rights -of -way of record.
SECTION 2. That the boundaries of the City of Tamarac, Florida, be
and the same are hereby redefined as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the South one-half of the
Southwest one -quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 16, Township 49 South,
Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida; thence Easterly along the
North line of said South one-half (S 1/2) of the Southwest one -
quarter (SW 1/4) a distance of 435 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence continuing Easterly along the last described course; a
distance of 2193.94 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of
the Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4) of the Southwest (SW 1/4) of
said Section 16; thence S-lo 191-46"-E, along the East line of said
Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4) of the Southwest one -quarter (SW 1/4)
a distance of 1016.92 feet to a point; thence N-770 39' 11"-W, a
distance of 1353.68 feet to a point, thence S-010 15' 35"-E, a dis-
tance of 51.44 feet to a point; thence N-770 39' ll"W, a distance
of 1345.47 feet to a point; thence Northerly and Westerly along the
arc of a circular curve to the right, having a radius of 1246.28
feet, an arc distance of 1661.47 feet to a point; thence N-lo 16'
ll -W, parallel to and 100 feet West of, as measured at right angles
to, the East line of the Northwest one -quarter (NW 1/4) of the South-
east one -quarter (SE 1/4) of Sectionl7, Township 49 South, Range 42
East, a distance of 443.03 feet to a point on the North line of said
Northwest one -quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4);
thence N-lo 15' 24"-W parallel to and 100 feet west of the East line
of the Southwest one -quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast one -quarter
(NE 1/4) of said Section 17, a distance of 120.70 feet to a point;
thence N-880 44' 36"-E, a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence
N-lo 15' 24"-W, a distance of 109.54 feet, more or less to a point
on. the South line of the North one-half of the Southeast one -quarter
(SE 1/4) of the Southwest one -quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast

South line of the North one half of the South-east one -quarter

North, along the West line of the Northwest one -quarter (NW 1/4) of

to a point 50 feet South of the Northwest corner of the Southeast one -
quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northwest one -quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section.
17; thence Easterly on a line 50 feet South of and parallel to the No-
rth line of the South one-half of the North one-half of said Section
17, said line being also the South right-of-way line of Prospect Road
and the Extension thereof, to a point 50 feet East of the West line of
the Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northeast one -quarter (NE1/4)
of said Section 17; thence Southerly on a line 50 feet East of and
parallel to the West line of the Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4) of the
Northeast one -quarter (NE 1/4) of said Section 17, said line being also
the East right-of-way line of Prospect Road, to a point on the North
line of the South one-half of the Northwest one -quarter (nw 1/4) of the
Southeast one -quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northeast one -quarter (NE 1/4)
of said Section 17; thence Easterly along the North line of the South
one-half of the Northwest one -quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southeast one -

thence Southerly along the arc of a circular curve to the left, having
a radius of 1096.28 feet, an arc distance of 1461.49 feet to a point;
• thence S-770 39' 11"-E, a distance of 903.21 feet to a point; thence
N-01' 11' 25"-W, parallel to and 435.0 feet East of, as measured at
right angles to the west line of the Southwest one -quarter (SW 1/4)
of Section 16, Township 49 South, Range 42 East, a distance of 390.28
feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution is adopted pursuant to the authority
contained in Chapter 63-1970, Special Acts of Florida, 1963.
SECTION 4. That the Clerk be and she is hereby authorized and directed
to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be filed with the
Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Broward County, Florida.
