A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH DAVIS AND CRAVEN, INC., CIVIL AND CON-
SULTING ENGINEERS, FOR SERVICES AS CITY
ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tamarac
has received a proposal from Davis and Craven, Inc.,
for services as City Engineer, in the form of a letter
under date of February 24, 1969, and the City Council
desires to authorize and direct the proper City Officials
to enter into such agreement, said City Engineer to serve
at the pleasure of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the proper City Officials are
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with Davis and Craven, Inc., Civil and Consulting Engineers,
to act as City Engineer for the City of Tamarac, Florida,
at the pleasure of the City Council, in accord with the
terms of that certain letter under date of February 24,
1969, written by Warren S. Craven to Mayor William Morse,
a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof
as if set forth in full herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this loth day of March, 1969.

I am taking this opportunity to write to you regarding our status
as City Engineers for the City of Tamarac.
In the past, we have acted in the capacity of the City Engineer
without any formal agreement as to our duties, responsibilities
or as to our compensation. The major portion of the work that
we have performed for the City has been paid for by Behring
Properties.
It is our desire to continue to serve the City of Tamarac, but we
feel that our relationship should be formalized by entering into
a written contract with the City.
We propose to actin the capacity of City Engineer on the following
basis:
1. We will represent the City on a technical basis as
directed by the authorized City official.
2. Compensation
We will undertake the basic work for the City on the
basis of a retainer of $100 per month. We will perform
for this fee a minimum of 8 hours of engineering. All
additional engineering work will be done on an hourly
basis in accordance with the following schedule:
