HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-69-030ARESOLUTION NO.,.36W A RESOLUTION APPOINTING WILLIAM BLAND AS CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC: ESTAB- LISHING COMPENSATION FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City Council, pursuant to the pro- visions of Section 33 of the Charter of the City of Tamarac, deems it wise and expedient to fill the vacancy created in the office of the City Clerk; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has examined the credentials and qualifications of several applicants for the position of City Clerk for the City of Tamarac and has concluded that William Bland possesses the necessary qualifications to serve as the Clerk for the City of Tamarac and the said William Bland has accepted the terms proposed by the City Council and further consented to serve as City Clerk for the City of Tamarac; and, Is WHEREAS, the City Council deems it wise and ex- pedient and in accordance with law to fix and determine the compensation for William Bland, City Clerk; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That William Bland be and he is hereby appointed City Clerk of the City of Tamarac in accordance with Section 33 of the Charter. SECTION 2: That William Bland shall serve and be compensated as City Clerk in the following manner: (a). April 7, 1969, to October 6, 1969; at the rate of $12,000.00 per annum. 40 (b). October 7, 1969, to April 6, 1970; at the rate of $13,000.00 per annum. (c). April 7, 1970, to April 6, 1971; at the rate of $14,000.00 per annum. (d).
