HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-70-016CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION # ��- fly WHEREAS, a vacancy has been created in the office of City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney, and and WHEREAS, the Council is desirous of filling said vacancies, WHEREAS, the law firm of Deutsch and Hurth is comprised of members who are residents of Broward County, Florida, and who practice before the Courts of the State of Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 'COUNCIL of 9 the City of Tamarac, Florida, That the members of the law firm of Deutsch and Hurth are herebyappointed as City Attorney and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Tamarac, to serve at the pleasure of the City Council and they shall receive the following remuneration for their services: (1) The sum of Eight Thousand Five Hundred ( $8,500.00) Dollars per year to cover all standard and normal duties of the office of City Attorney, including but not limited to attendance of meetings of the City Council and Boards where required, pre- paration of all Ordinances, Resolutions and Contracts and as general legal advisor to the City as provided by law. (2) The aforesaid annual payment shall not include services by the City Attorney's office for bond issues, appearances before commissions or other governmental agencies, codification of Or- dinances, Charter revisions or City Prosecutor's functions. (3) In litigation matters, appearances before commissions, codification and Charter revisions, the City Attorney's office shall receive the sum of Thirty-five ($35.00) Dollars per hour for time spent on the particular matter out of Court and Fifty ($50.00) Dollars per hour for time spent on the matter in Court or time before the commissions. • RESOLUTION # 76 r f r This :Resolution and the appointment created hereby shall take effect as of June 1, 1970.
