HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-70-028171 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION #70:-,2 g WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Tamarac provides that the City Prosecutor's functions may be the responsiblity of the City Attorney, and WHEREAS, the law firm of DEUTSCH, HURTH, DEUTSCH, WELLENS AND GOLDBERG has been appointed to fill the Office of City Attorney by resolution, and WHEREAS, no provision has heretofore been made for the compensation of said firm for performing the functions of City Prosecutor, and WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of con- firming the appointment of the law firm of DEUTSCH, HURTH, DEUTSCH, WELLENS AND GOLDBERG as the City Prosecutor and establishing their compensation therefore. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of Tamarac, Florida. 1. That the law firm of DEUTSCH, HURTH, DEUTSCH, WELLENS AND GOLDBERG, heretofore appointed as City Attorney, shall also in such capacity serve the City in the Office of the City Prosecutor. 2. That in addition to the compensation for performance of other functions in the Office of City Attorney, said law firm shall receive as compensation for the performance of the City Prosecutor's functions the sum of $50.00 per Court Session attended. 3. That should said law firm, in the performance of its duties as City Prosecutor, be requested to perform functions in addition to representation at Court Sessions, additional compensation shall be paid to said firm at the rate of $35.00 per hour for time spent on the particular matter out of Court and $50.00 per hour for time spent on the matter in Court. - 1 - 4. This Resolution and the Appointment created hereby shall be effective as of the first day of June, 1970. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this _day of 1970. ATTEST: r ITY CLERK MAYOR - 2 -
