RESOLUTION NO. 70 - 3
A RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN LAWN MAINTEN-
ANCE PROPERTY AND CERTAIN TRUCKS SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZING SAME FOR SALE TO GARDEN AND LAND-
SCAPE, INC., A FLORIDA CORPORATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac
is going to award a contract for lawn maintenance functions
to a private contractor and said contractor is required to
have and maintain all tools, equipments, trucks and accessories
necessary to perform said lawn maintenance and sprinkler repair
functions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council herewith declares that
certain trucks and lawn maintenance equipment in accordance
with the inventory attached hereto is no longer necessary
for the City to perform lawn maintenance functions and fur-
ther deems it wise and expedient to declare said property
surplus property of the City to be sold to GARDEN AND LANDSCAPE,
INC., under terms and conditions of that certain contract be-
tween the City of Tamarac and Garden and Landscape, Inc., for
a sum of Twenty-two Thousand Ten Dollars ($22,010.00); said
sum having been determined by appraisals from independent ex-
perts in the area of truck appraisal and lawn maintenance
appraisal; to wit, ARNOLD HOOVER, Truck Sales Division Manager,
ED MORSE CHEVROLET and MEL NICHOLSON, NICHOLSON HARDWARE; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the trucks owned by the City of
Tamarac and designated on the inventory attached hereto and
the lawn maintenance equipment owned by the City of Tamarac
designated on the inventory attached hereto, said inventory
attached hereto and made a part hereof as if set forth in
full herein and identified as Exhibit "A", be and they are
hereby declared surplus property of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: That the surplus property referred to
on Exhibit "A", be and the same shall be sold in accordance

with that certain contract entered into by Resolution No.
70-2; said contract providing for a purchase price of
Twenty-two Thousand Ten Dollars ($22,010.00) to be paid
by Garden and Landscape, Inc., to the City of Tamarac.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of February,
A.D., 1970.
