CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION # - f
WHEREAS, Tamarac Utilities, Inc. has previously been
granted a franchise to provide public water and sanitary sewer
services to inhabitants of the City, and
WHEREAS, said Utility has heretofore installed, in
part, water meters for individual customers and been paid by
said customers directly, computed from meter readings, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac now deems it necessary
and in the public interest and a benefit to the community and
in the interest of the public health, safety and welfare to
continue and expand the aforesaid installation of individual
customer water meters, and
WHEREAS, Tamarac Utilities, Inc. has provided evi-
dence to the City that they will furnish and install water meters
for individual customers at no expense to the City and/or
customers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the
City of Tamarac, Florida,
That the installation of meters to individual consumers
is deemed to be in the best interest of the public health, safety
and welfare of the community and that Tamarac Utilities, Inc. is
hereby requested to continue the expansion and installation of
said water meters at no installation cost to the City or to the
consumer.
Be it further resolved that all consumers shall hereafter
only be served with water service after the installation of a water
meter when such meter is available for installation by Tamarac
Utilities, Inc. or its agents or contractors.
