RESOLUTION NO. 70 - 74
A RESOLUTION ELECTING DANIEL E. DUNN MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC FOR THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF
FORMER MAYOR CHARLES LATZ; AUTHORIZING DANIEL
E. DUNN TO EXECUTE CITY CHECKS AND PERFORM ALL
OTHER FUNCTIONS CONNECTED TO THE MAYOR.
WHEREAS, the Council has accepted the resignation of
Mayor Charles Latz thereby creating a vacancy in the office of
Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has, at a special meeting held
for that purpose, duly called and held, elected Councilman
Daniel E. Dunn to the office of Mayor pursuant to the provisions
of Section 13 of the Charter of the City of Tamarac; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Daniel E. Dunn be and he is hereby
elected Mayor of the City of Tamarac and shall perform all
functions duly designated by the Charter of the City of Tamarac
and Laws of the State of Florida. That said election and appoint-
ment shall be for the unexpired term of former Mayor, Charles
Latz.
SECTION 2: That Mayor Daniel E. Dunn be and he is
hereby authorized to execute all City checks in accordance
with the Charter of the City of Tamarac and the Laws of the
State of Florida and all banks, savings and loan associations,
and other financial institutions having dealings with the City
of Tamarac are hereby directed and authorized to accept the
signature of Daniel E. Dunn as Mayor of the City of Tamarac.
