HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-71-039ACITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION #.71— 31 A WHEREAS, the lack of rain in the area of the City of Tamarac has caused a potentially serious condition as to water supply, and WHEREAS, this condition might possibly become increasingly more serious should some restraint on the use of water not be observed, and WHEREAS, the water supply might reach dangerously low levels without sufficient warning to permit sufficient time for the City Council to meet and pass law to compensate or control such a situation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of Tamarac, Florida: 1. That the people of the City of Tamarac are hereby requested to exercise self-restraint in the use of water. Such restraint should be applied to the water for in -home purposes and the use of water for irrigation purposes. 2. The Mayor is hereby given the authority through the power of proclamation to reverse this request for restraint at a time when the water supply is considered to be no longer in danger. 3. Further, the Mayor is given the power through proclama- tion to take emergency measures to limit the use of water if in the event such a limitation is deemed necessary.
