HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Resolution R-71-039BCITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA RESOLUTION # J1-321Z WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized by its Charter to .. appoint municipal judges, and ' WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac is now desirous of repealing all previous resolutions appointing municipal judges and associate judges, and WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of making new appoint- ments to the positions of municipal judge and associate municipal judge. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY of Tamarac, Florida: That effective this 18th day of May, 1971, any resolution appointing a municipal judge or associate municipal judge prior hereto is hereby repealed in its entirety and any appointments made thereby are hereby revoked. That effective this 18th day of May, 1971, William F. Zamer is hereby appointed as Chief Municipal Judge and James R. Eddy and James Druck are hereby appointed as Associate Municipal Judges. Said appointments, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Tamarac, are made subject to the pleasure of the City Council. Said appointees shall serve in their respective positions until further action of the City Council. The Chief Municipal Judge shall be responsible for preparing a schedule indicating which Judge shall sit on which court dates and shall be responsible in all respects for the judicial aspects of the Municipal Court of the City of Tamarac. Each of the aforementioned Judges shall receive as compensa- tion for services performed, the sum of $50.00 per court session fi presided over.
